Rhipe to resell IBM Cloud services
Rhipe (ASX:RHP), has landed a new contract to resell IBM Cloud infrastructure from SoftLayer. As a result, it will be reselling IBM Cloud services through its partner network across seven countries in the Asia Pacific region including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand. It will enable our existing vendor partners to have another platform for delivery of their services.”

A10 Networks selected by Fujitsu Asia
A10 Networks
(NYSE:ATEN), a technology leader in application networking, has announced that Fujitsu Asia, a leading ICT-based business solutions provider, is using the A10 Thunder ADC solution to standardise its cloud-based load-balancing service, lower space and hardware costs, and advance network operator capabilities. The A10 Thunder ADC application delivery controller not only offered Fujitsu Asia scalability for its growing IT infrastructure and cloud-networking services, but also supported the company in consolidating its networking resource, reducing appliance sprawl and cost-effectively streamlining management. Plus, the extensibility of the A10 Harmony architecture ensures consistent policies and maximum flexibility. “When we considered resources for developing an environment in which we could deliver one-stop service to customers, we realised that providing standardised load-balancing services and automation with RESTful API control was key,” said Keisuke Katsuda, Network Services Business Unit, Integration Services Business, Fujitsu Limited. “A10 Networks delivered the ability to host hundreds of virtual load-balancing instances on a single appliance while lowering space and hardware costs. We are very pleased with the service provided and benefits gained.” The A10 Thunder ADC enables customer applications to be highly available, accelerated and secure. This solution not only provides a broad range of form factors and expansive system support resources, but it also ensures that high-performance functions are available from implementation without the need for additional licences. This is made possible by A10’s “All Inclusive Licensing” pricing model, which eliminates the need to purchase additional licences as customer applications expand, and provides more flexibility and the ability to meet their solution requirements now and in the future.

Gym and Fitness chooses NetSuite OneWorld
Gym and Fitness has deployed NetSuite OneWorld to manage its core retail and wholesale distribution business operations. The company replaced MYOB with a single instance of NetSuite OneWorld to manage critical back-end business processes, including financial consolidation, order management, CRM, warranties and spare parts management across multiple subsidiaries, as well as point-of-sale (POS) in its retail stores. NetSuite OneWorld is now used by Gym & Fitness’ head office and warehouse in Queensland, as well as eight subsidiaries across the country, including Australian Fitness Supplies (wholesale distribution and export business), Gym and Fitness Online and six Gym and Fitness retail stores. NetSuite OneWorld also provides multi-currency (AUD and USD) functionality, which supports Gym and Fitness’ growing export business through its extensive network of distributors in 11 countries. Since switching to NetSuite in 2012, the company has significantly expanded its operations, resulting in a 100 percent revenue increase. As Gym and Fitness continued to grow its business in Australia and expand its focus on export sales to other countries, MYOB could no longer support its requirements, particularly the need for multiple concurrent users and locations for inventory and multi-currency trading, with real-time business intelligence and reporting. The company evaluated Xero, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) and SAP, before choosing NetSuite OneWorld for its ease of customisation, multi-subsidiary management capability and its flexibility to meet the company’s future global needs. “We had one retail store and 26 users when we provisioned NetSuite to manage the operational side of our business three years ago and we have grown to six retail stores and 93 users,” said Dave Barnes, managing director of Gym and Fitness. “It would have been very difficult to get to where we are today and achieve the success that we’ve experienced without NetSuite. Our vision is to grow and become Australia’s largest specialty retailer and NetSuite can give us the scalability and flexibility to achieve that goal.”
